Description
The stories in this book recall the experiences of some early members of Cocaine Anonymous (C.A.) through their eyes and memories.
Each member’s unique voice portrays different aspects of the early days of C.A.
Some of these members were involved in the very first meetings in Los Angeles, California. Meetings that were created out of the need for a place for those wanting to recover from their cocaine addiction who at the time were not welcomed into other recovery programs in the area. Some of these member recall the forming of the C.A. General Service Office, which would become the World Service Office we know today.
There are stories of the first Trustees and the first World Service Convention and World Service Conference. Some of the these members were involved in writing our early literature and helping to cultivate and maintain our relationship with Alcoholics Anonymous and the use of the book Alcoholics Anonymous as our recovery test. Because of the love and service work of these and other early members, in only a few years the Fellowship of Cocaine Anonymous grew from only six meetings around the Los Angeles are to 17 States/District. There early stories are only a small sample of the dedicated people involved in laying the groundwork for what would become the worldwide Fellowship we know today.
